 Mock Employment Tribunal

A Mock Employment Tribunal is a simulated hearing that mirrors the structure, language, and procedures of a real employment tribunal. It provides a safe and structured environment to explore how employment law is applied in practice, how evidence is presented and how decisions are made. A live Mock ET was professionally filmed by member company Dangerous Studios at the Scottish Engineering office and this recorded version is now regularly presented by one of the our experienced employment solicitors at member company sites.

We are please to announce that member company. Booth Welsh, will be hosting recorded versions of the Mock ET, again presented by one of the experienced Scottish Engineering employment solicitors. These events will be open to delegates from other member companies, which will be especially useful to smaller companies that perhaps don’t have sufficient delegates for an event at their own premises. The session runs from 10:00-13:00 each day, with plenty of opportunity for discussion and Q&A:

What to Expect

The mock tribunal has been designed to:
  • Bridge the gap between theory and practice in employment law.
  • Build confidence in handling workplace disputes and legal processes.
  • Encourage critical thinking about fairness, evidence, and decision-making.
  • Highlight to managers that their previous actions and decisions can have legal consequences many months later at the tribunal hearing.
