Equality, Diversity and Inclusion for Management Description

This CPD-accredited course is designed to equip managers and leaders with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to foster an inclusive, respectful, and legally compliant workplace. Through a blend of legal context, practical scenarios, and interactive discussion, participants will explore the principles of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) and their application in everyday management practices. 

The session incorporates recent legislative updates, including the Worker Protection (Amendment of Equality Act 2010) Act 2023, and provides actionable strategies for preventing discrimination and harassment in the workplace. 

Learning Objectives

Define the key concepts of equality, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace. 

Identify and respond appropriately to different forms of discrimination and harassment. 

Understand the legal responsibilities of employers and managers under the Equality Act 2010 and related legislation. 

Apply inclusive practices in recruitment, promotion, training, and disciplinary procedures. 

Recognise the importance of proactive intervention and the “all reasonable steps” defence. 

Promote a culture of respect, fairness, and accountability within their teams.
