Investigation Training Programme

We are pleased to present our CPD Accredited Investigation Training Programme, designed to equip managers and HR professionals with the knowledge and practical skills required to conduct fair, thorough, and legally compliant workplace investigations. This session provides a structured, evidence‑based overview of the investigation process, ensuring alignment with the ACAS Code of Practice, current case law, and organisational best practice.

This comprehensive programme contributes 4 hours of recognised Continuing Professional Development (CPD). Upon successful completion, participants will receive a certificate confirming their CPD hours, which may be used toward professional development, internal competency frameworks, and career progression.

What to Expect

This programme is designed to be practical, scenario‑based, and highly interactive. Participants will take part in:
  • A detailed case study, applied throughout the session to build investigative competence step‑by‑step.

  • Guided exploration of each investigative stage: initial planning, preparation, witness sequencing, interview structures, and evidence assessment.

  • Practical exercises focused on drafting questions, identifying potential bias, and evaluating witness credibility.

  • Group discussions and workbook activities designed to reinforce learning and promote reflective practice.

  • Clear guidance on producing an objective, well‑structured Investigation Report aligned to employment law requirements.
The session emphasises fairness, transparency, and consistency, all essential elements in ensuring investigations are robust, defensible, and supportive of positive employee relations
